The first part allows you to cS}reate "PLATES". Each plate represents one eigth of a page, and on each plate you can "engrave" T} your messages and pictures. Part Two is called "THE PRESS" and allows you to combine eight platU}es to make up complete pages. Use "THE PRESS" to print your work. REQUIREMENTS/LOADING V} 1. 48k of RAM, 1 (min) drive, printer 2. XL/XE owners hold down OPTION key W} CREATE PLATES Use PLATES to creat actual layouts. Once News is loaded, you'll see a whiX}te background (paper), and, at the bottom of the screen a line that separates two status lines from Y} your plate. A blinking cursor or line will appear at the upper left hand corner of the screen. At firsZ}t, the Plates Editor will be in TEXT mode. On the lower right hand corner are your X and Y coor[}dinates that tell you where the cursor is located. There are two modes of operation. Text \}and Graphics which allows you to draw on the screen dot by dot. To switch between modes, simple ]}press Control-G for graphics mode and Control-T for Text mode.
